Design Engineer

What will you be doing?

As a Design Engineer (Aircraft Interior), you will join our team in Cwmbran, to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop and refine detailed models of various aircraft seating components to meet specific programme requirements.
• Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise designs for seating elements.
• Conduct analyses to ensure optimal balance between performance, cost, and weight for seating components.
• Analyse validation results, identify potential issues, and implement design improvements to ensure product reliability and safety.
• Ensure material and process choices meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements for aircraft seating.
• Ensure all design elements comply with relevant aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in product validation activities, including prototyping, testing, and conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Who are we looking for?

• An autonomous engineer with experience in either; Aircraft interior design, Yacht interior design or bespoke customised interior components.

Requirements

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related Engineering disciplines.
• Experience in cabin interiors, seats systems is preferrable.
• Prior application of CAD tools such as Catia V5 or similar.
• Eligible to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance (BPSS).
• Previous experience within VIP or Private Jet interiors is ideal but not mandatory.
