Senior Software Engineer

The Ultimo application consists of various services developed in C#. Together, these make up the back end. The front end is written in JavaScript. Here, we use a proprietary web framework. The current generation of the application runs on Azure Kubernetes. We use various cloud-native techniques to offer a stable and scalable platform. Customers on our Azure platform are automatically provided with fixes and new features bi-weekly.

We set high-quality standards for the work delivered and have high coverage with various types of automated testing. We work with .NET 8 (C#), Xamarin/MAUI, Azure, Kubernetes, Azure SQL, and JavaScript.

The Senior/Software Engineer works in the Scrum team on expanding and improving the Ultimo software by drawing up and implementing user stories, for example. Makes an important contribution to monitoring and improving the overall quality by actively thinking about functional requirements and solutions. Creates and improves the functional aspect in the modules that describe and support the business processes as accurately as possible. Initially selected candidate will part of a team primarily focusing on report development for IFS Ultimo.

The person we seek is interested in and capable of:

• Translating user stories and requirements into a functional solution
• Developing new functionalities and modules
• Working a lot with building new reports/analytics and dashboards
• Monitoring and improving the quality of the software by analyzing/solving performance issues and performing code reviews
• Structurally and systematically delivering desired results on the set deadlines
• Drawing up a backlog; assessing user stories and dividing them into tasks and activities
• Noticing and analyzing developments that influence steady improvements in process optimization and quality

Requirements

• University degree in a field relevant to Computer Science, Software Engineering, If necessary with additional certifications and/or courses aimed at .NET
• Excellent command in verbal and written English
• Familiar with the Agile/Scrum way of working
• At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer (For Senior SE)
• Experience with C#, SQL, XML.
• Experience with working with data/reporting/dashboards
• Has experience with Power BI/SSRS or similar reporting tools
• Affinity with research and development related to reporting and analytics
• Broad knowledge of software development lifecycle and practices
• Experience with version management and continuous integration
• Experience with translating user stories into tasks
• Able to recognize connections between different tasks and projects
• Experience with creating database models and normalising
• Experienced with Low Code Platform will be an added advantage
