Senior Electron Microscopy/Nanomechanical Testing Technologist

We are looking for a Senior Electron Microscopy/Nanomechanical Testing Technologist internally known as a Senior Technologist to support the management of the Centre for Electron Microscopy and Materials Science (CEMMS) research platform which services stakeholders both internal and external to the University of Auckland, New Zealand. CEMMS is one of New Zealand’s leading surface analysis/materials science laboratories, hosting Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Electron Back Scatter Diffraction (EBSD), Focused Ion Beam (FIB) milling, X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and nanomechanical testing capabilities. This role is for a subject matter expert in surface morphological, mechanical and chemical analysis to deliver a specialised, state of the art technical service via nanomechanical testing (Hysitron Triboindenter), SEM, EDS and EBSD in the chemical, engineering, medical, pharmaceutical, biological, and geological fields.
