Team Leader / Lead Business Analyst - IFS Ultimo

The Ultimo application consists of various services developed in C#. Together, these make up the back end. The front end is written in JavaScript. Here, we use a proprietary web framework. The current generation of the application runs on Azure Kubernetes. We use various cloud-native techniques to offer a stable and scalable platform. Customers on our Azure platform are automatically provided with fixes and new features bi-weekly.

We set high-quality standards for the work delivered and have high coverage with various types of automated testing. We work with .NET 8 (C#), Xamarin/MAUI, Azure, Kubernetes, Azure SQL, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

The Team Lead/Lead Business Analyst has dual responsibility:

The lead is responsible for implementing improvements in the team processes and further shaping and developing the discipline. Manages the discipline by guiding, coaching and facilitating business analyst in reaching the set organizational and departmental objectives. The person we seek should be responsible for:

• Reviewing plans, designs and realizations from colleagues in the discipline
• Serving as the point of contact of the discipline and ensuring proper communication and information exchange
• Monitoring and developing the quality, knowledge and skill level of the employees in the discipline
• Performs personal development and performance management conversations with the employees in the discipline

Besides the responsibility of being the lead for Business Analyst discipline for our Sri Lankan team, you are a member of the development team who knows the details of the customer's requirements and translates them into the required functionality in Ultimo. Is the functional point of contact in the development team. Works closely together with the Product Owner to make the translation from business requirements to Ultimo functionality. Is responsible for the intake of reported defects.

The person we seek is interested in and experienced and capable of:

• Mapping and elaborating business requirements and translating these into standard functionality in Ultimo
• Refining the Product Backlog to reach backlog items that are ready
• Writing implementation documentation
• Sharing knowledge with colleagues by answering questions and giving presentations and demos
• Contributing to customer panels with demonstrations and gathering requirements

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent professional qualifications in a field relevant to the technical and/or functional area of responsibility, preferably Technical Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Business IT & Management
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Familiar with the Agile/Scrum way of working
• Experience with guiding employees in a multidisciplinary team
• Affinity with business processes
• Experience with Ultimo or comparable software for supporting processes
• Experience with specifying functional requirements
• At least 6 years of experience in the profession as a business analyst (or comparable), 2 years in the Team Lead Capacity
• Technical knowledge of XML, SQL, etc will be an added advantage
• Knowledge about Reporting, Analytics and Power BI will be an added advantage
• Up-to-date and proven knowledge of and experience with Agile software development
