Finance Officer

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. If you have a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate data processing and meeting statutory deadlines. Your responsibilities will include accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and purchasing cards.

Other duties will include:

• For the three Racing Codes comprising Greyhounds, Harness and Thoroughbred, process weekly race books, invoices, adjustments and receipts according with weekly deadlines
• Process Accounts Payable Invoice workflow, including verifying coding, GST compliance, Supplier ABN details and facilitating necessary variations to purchase orders or goods receipting relating to invoice workflow
• Assist with the preparation of Tax Invoices and Statements to Clubs
• Monthly reconciliation of racing ledgers in Ci Anywhere
• Assist with customer service requests from internal and external customers
• Update and maintain relevant policies, procedures and working manuals
