• You’ll become an expert in the needs of employment agencies and job seekers. You’ll bring this knowledge back to the company to help build empathy for our users.

Your team

You will join our User Experience team as a User Experience Researcher in Amsterdam. You’ll work alongside designers on the team, and collaborate closely with the product management and software development teams throughout the product development process.

Your impact

• Plan and conduct formative user research to help us better understand the people and organizations using our product, and how it fits into their broader career guidance ecosystems
• Conduct evaluative usability testing to ensure that our product meets the expectations of clients, administrators, and users
• Synthesize research insights and report findings to stakeholders across the company
• Help us ‘land’ product features by monitoring and understanding their usage after launch, and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Proactively identify blind spots in our understanding of our users and clients, and plan and execute research programs to address them

Requirements

Your skills

• 5+ years working as a user researcher in a consumer-facing product
• Strong command of qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, field research, focus groups)
• Proficient in conducting evaluative / usability research in an iterative product development environment
• Experience employing a broad range of user research methodologies, and developing novel approaches where needed
• Excellent presentation skills, and a clear written and verbal communicator
• Excel at weaving together research insights from multiple sources to create a strong narrative
• Experience running research operations, including roadmap planning, participant recruitment, and maintaining a research repository
• Advocating for users' needs and building an organizational culture of user-centered design

Extra awesome

• Experience with quantitative research methods (e.g. surveys, product analytics)
• Fluency in Arabic, Spanish or Ukrainian language, and experience conducting research in one of those countries
• A passion for good product design, and an understanding of what makes an user experience exceptional

Salary, start-date & location

• We use a salary benchmark for the Dutch high-tech sector to set your salary based on your experience. We expect that the annual gross salary for the experience we are looking for ranges from 55k-65k Euro per year.
• We accept applications on a rolling basis, and we envision a start date as soon as possible.

• You will enjoy 25 paid vacation days per year (20 days as the statutory minimum holiday entitlement in the Netherlands plus 5 extra days from SkillLab).
• You can work flexibly from our office in Amsterdam and home within the Netherlands. You can also extend your holiday stay in a different country and work from abroad for a limited period of time.
