Site Engineer - Steel Structure

For one of our esteemed clients, based in Sharjah UAE, we are looking for skilled and motivated Site Engineers with extensive experience in steel structure projects. The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities related to the erection and installation of steel structures, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all aspects of steel structure construction at the site, including planning, execution, and close-out phases.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient construction of steel structures.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Monitor construction progress, manage schedules, and address any issues or delays promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure the structural integrity of steel components.
• Manage and direct site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring they adhere to project plans and timelines.
• Prepare and submit site reports, progress reports, and any other required documentation.
• Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Oversee the installation and alignment of steel beams, columns, trusses, and other structural components.
• Provide technical support and guidance to on-site construction teams.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Address and resolve any on-site technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, material usage, and labor hours.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site engineering with a focus on steel structures.
• Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
• Proficient in using construction management software, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools.
• In-depth understanding of structural analysis and design.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing site teams.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Willingness to work onsite at various locations as required by the project.
