If you want to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation tools for critical security applications, processes, and their underlying infrastructure;

  • Develop and implement SOAR workflows to automate incident response tasks;

  • Fine-tune, and oversee SOAR platforms to streamline incident response activities;

  • Collaborate with the SOC team to ensure effective incident response, threat hunting, and utilization of threat intelligence sources;

  • Document automation processes and provide comprehensive training materials for relevant teams.

And you can check off:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash;

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git;

  • Strong background with CI/CD tools;

  • Experience with RESTful APIs for integrating various security tools and platforms;

  • Familiarity with JSON and XML for data interchange between tools;

  • Hands-on experience in implementing SOAR and/or SIEM platforms;

  • Experience in developing custom playbooks, workflows, and automated responses.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack;

  • Have experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes;

  • Have knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools;

  • Have experience in securing cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Are familiar with cloud-native security tools and practices;

  • Are familiar with DevSecOps practices and integrating security tools in the DevOps pipeline;

  • Have certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, or GCIH.
