Senior QA Automation Engineer

POS Solutions, FoodTec's Premium Partner, is based in the city of Thessaloniki and is seeking a dynamic experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Be the development team’s expert for everything related to automated testing and quality assurance, the corresponding infrastructure, and the underlying technology, such as JUnit/TestNG, JMockit/EasyMock/Mockito, Hamcrest, JBehave, Jenkins and more, including new tools that you help to introduce
• UI Automation using Selenium
• Automation experience on REST and API testing
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using JMeter or equivalent performance testing tools.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell or bash.

• Extensive experience, at least 5 years, in creating and developing automated test frameworks.

• A track record of using defect tracking tools for efficient quality assurance.

• Practical expertise in designing, developing, and implementing testing procedures.

• Familiarity with both Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, including Gherkin specifications and their practical application.

• Knowledge or experience in front-end point-of-sale (POS) applications is a valuable asset.
