What is the job like, really?

The core focus of this role is to manage our cloud-based IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems operate both efficiently and securely. You get to work closely with an awesome Platform Engineering team of 15 professionals, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure the seamless integration and effectiveness of our cloud solutions. Here’s a more detailed snapshot of your key responsibilities:

☘️ Platform Management: Take ownership of our public cloud infrastructure, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.

☘️ System Maintenance: Handle tasks such as configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to keep our cloud platforms operating at peak efficiency.

☘️ Upgrades and Migrations: Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations to keep our platforms up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

☘️ Security Measures: Implement security measures and access controls to protect our systems from threats.

☘️ Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks to provide users with a seamless experience.

☘️ Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize business impact in case of system failures.

☘️ Participation in On-Call Rotation : Be a part of a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, providing coverage for our platform services.

What are we looking for?

We don’t expect you to be a unicorn, but the more you know about the following, the better:

🎯 Proven experience in public cloud infrastructure management and monitoring solutions, with extensive knowledge in multiple cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS. Certifications in these platforms are highly appreciated

🎯 Strong expertise in system administration, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting in a cloud environment.

🎯 Knowledge of Kubernetes and experience with containerized environments.

And some soft skills, too:

🎯 Great communication and interpersonal skills. To ensure effective communication, including with Finnish-speaking customers, proficiency in both English and Finnish is essential for many of our customer projects.

🎯 Collaborative team player.

🎯 Innovative problem-solving skills.
