Analytics Engineer

Lotlinx is seeking a highly skilled Analytics Engineer in Winnipeg to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain our analytics infrastructure, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure our analytics systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain our analytics infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and product teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Manage data models and data warehouses, primarily utilizing BigQuery.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Optimize queries and data processing tasks for scalability and performance, especially when working with big data.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy across all Lotlinx analytics platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in analytics and data engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and shell scripting.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, ELT processes, data warehousing, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in cloud-based analytics platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt or related technologies.
• Working knowledge of Apache Airflow, Apache Pinot, and OpenSearch.
• Meta Database Engineer Professional Certificate.
