Essence of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, APAC, the Senior Sales Manager will focus on driving new business growth across the APAC region. This role will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new enterprise customers, helping to expand our footprint in this dynamic and rapidly growing market. This ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with deep knowledge of the communications technology landscape, strong regional expertise, and a proven track record in securing new business within the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development in APAC: Identify and target potential enterprise customers across the APAC region, building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities in key markets.
  • Regional Market Penetration: Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets within the APAC region, tailoring the approach to the unique needs and challenges of each market.
  • Lead Generation: Actively prospect, qualify, and pursue new leads, leveraging both cold outreach and established networks within the APAC region.
  • Solution Selling: Present and demonstrate Sinch’s communication tools and software to prospective clients, clearly articulating their value propositions and how they can address specific business challenges in the APAC market.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Create and execute a strategic sales plan focused on acquiring new enterprise clients and driving significant revenue growth within the APAC region.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with new clients, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and aligned with Sinch’s objectives.
  • Regional Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs within the APAC region, using this knowledge to refine sales strategies and better position Sinch’s offerings.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success for new clients across the APAC region.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales activities, pipeline status, and progress toward new business targets in the APAC region.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with a focus on new business development within the APAC region, particularly in the communications, SaaS, or technology sectors.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business deals with large enterprise clients across diverse markets within the APAC region.
  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the business landscape, cultural nuances, and regulatory environment across key APAC markets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the communications technology landscape, including messaging, voice, and email solutions, with a focus on the needs of APAC enterprises.
  • Sales Expertise: Exceptional consultative selling skills with the ability to craft tailored solutions that address the specific needs of new clients in the APAC region.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust and build relationships with senior decision-makers across the APAC region.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts with enterprise clients, achieving favorable outcomes for both parties.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and execute a sales plan that drives new business growth and captures market share within the APAC region.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally to ensure client success from initial contact through to implementation.
  • Resilience: High level of motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
