Junior Compliance Officer

What you'll do

You'll sit in a team of Lawyers who provide legal counsel to every entity globally, and Compliance whose role is to reduce and manage risk across all areas of the business. As the first Compliance Officer in Australia, you'll report into our Group's General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer and play a key role in contributing to the growth and enhancement of the compliance team. As LEAP further expands its global footprint, you'll support the development, implementation and maintenance of our risk management framework. In addition to providing vendor management, risk management and compliance support, your day to day will look like this:

• Assisting in the development of vendor management, including vendor approval and on-boarding
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to help build and monitor the performance of systems and processes
• Undertaking internal compliance reviews and assisting external auditors
• Documenting and reporting relevant matters to the General Counsel
• Reviewing and maintaining compliance frameworks to ensure continued compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

Your positive attitude and hunger to learn the world of compliance from the ground up will make you the perfect fit for this role. You will have:

• Graduated university between 2022 and 2024 with a bachelor's or master's degree in any field....we can teach you what you need to know!
• Some previous commercial work experience - this could be an internship or a summer office job
• Highly organised with an eye for detail, and a thorough approach to problem solving
• The ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• A proactive mindset and you take ownership of everything you do
• High work ethic with sense of urgency
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports
• You don't need to try and be a team player because this comes naturally to you! You can listen and respond sensibly and positively.
• Experience and skills in Microsoft office
