We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our amazing Engineering team! As the sole QA specialist on our team, you will be the driving force behind quality initiatives, ensuring our mobile applications meet the highest standards. You will also have the autonomy to shape our testing strategies. You will directly impact the user experience of token.com, helping us deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our users!

To help you best prepare, we’ve outlined the interview process for this role, we aim to have this process completed within 3 weeks:

  • 30 minute google meet call with our People and Talent Coordinator.
  • 1 hour google meet call with the Head of Engineering.
  • Technical take home test.
  • 1 hour technical interview with our Senior QA Engineer.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • You’re capable of supporting and maintaining an end-to-end (E2E) testing framework for mobile applications, with specific experience using the Detox framework.
  • Extensive experience with Unit, Integration, System, Smoke, Regression, and E2E tests, along with proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including integrating these processes into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and CircleCI.
  • Experience in setting up mobile testing frameworks from scratch, ensuring a solid foundation for quality assurance.
  • Skilled in developing automated testing solutions to streamline processes.
  • Skilled in writing automated test code in languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • An effective communicator who can share testing knowledge, promote a culture of quality, and work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Adept at producing detailed test reports and collaborating with engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • You’re driven by a strong desire to work across teams, enjoying collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and self-motivation to work independently while proactively improving testing processes and quality assurance.
  • You are self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to proactively shape testing strategies and lead quality initiatives, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience testing in cloud environments.
  • Experience testing APIs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes and pipelines.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Maintain Testing Framework: Support and contribute to the testing framework by automating and updating e2e tests.
  2. Automate and Optimise Testing: Participate in refinement sessions to provide advice on required test cases and testing approaches. You will focus on automating testing processes, including regression and integration testing, to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  3. Keep Test Cases Updated: Update test cases to reflect ongoing changes prior to releases.
  4. Provide Quality Assurance Leadership: Act as a quality advocate within the organisation, promoting best practices in testing, authorisation on quality sign-off and continuous improvement of QA processes.
  5. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers and engineers to define test cases and strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of features and requirements.
  6. Coordinate testing activities: Including regression testing and releases, while effectively communicating issues and blockers.
