As Head of Sales you will lead the Business Development and Account Management functions at heycar driving growth and delivering class-leading service to our dealer, car manufacturer (OEMs) and third party partners. A proven leader of people you’ll know how to motivate the team, set stretch goals, ensure pipelines are full and contact plans are tracked. You’ll need entrepreneurial spirit, high energy and significant drive to get things done!

About the role:

As Head of Sales you will lead the Business Development and Account Management functions at heycar driving growth and delivering class-leading service to our dealer, car manufacturer (OEMs) and third party partners. A proven leader of people you’ll know how to motivate the team, set stretch goals, ensure pipelines are full and contact plans are tracked. You’ll need entrepreneurial spirit, high energy and significant drive to get things done!

What you’ll do:

  • Revenue generation and growth: You’ll be expected to provide regular and accurate reports and forecasts to the Sales Director. This will include: detailed and insightful commentary on pipeline, revenue growth, forecast delivery, individual performance, remuneration, significant won/lost accounts and team KPIs.
  • Leadership: Leading and driving the Business Development and Account Management teams by setting strategy and optimising processes, leading daily progress meetings and optimising the performance and efficacy of both teams.
  • Data driven and analytical: Consistently reviewing data to identify sales growth opportunities and align with the Chief Marketing Officer and Sales Director weekly to analyse client lead allocation and upsell opportunities utilising Hubspot and building departmental expertise with this system.
  • Client management: You will have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the company’s core accounts and will attend monthly off site visits with the Account Management team on their client visits. You will be responsible for dealing with contract renegotiations, issue escalation from the Account Management team and weekly update meetings to heycar SLT.
  • Innovation: As one of the senior revenue leaders, you're empowered to take the heycar sales function to the next level, make decisions and innovate. You will work interdepartmentally across the business to assist in growth and will lead the synergy across these core commercial teams.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience: you’re proven at leading sales growth, excellent account management in the digital sphere and experience in making things happen
  • Exemplary attention to detail: a passion for high quality output in all materials you produce
  • Energy and drive: you’re in and around all aspects of your commercial world - hands in and leading the charge from the front
  • Superior relationships skills, forging and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally is second-nature to you. You’ll have a natural ability to build rapport at all levels quickly, and you're committed to adding value to all your interactions.
  • Analytical skills: you're confident working with dashboards, data and technology. You know how valuable they are, and how to utilise their insights to drive performance across the team.
  • Starter finisher: You’re happy to establish and embed new processes into a team, while being open to feedback and new ways of doing things. You can find, hire, train and retain talent. You're always looking for ways to remove blockers, and think about future scale while achieving today's goals.
  • Team player, you have the wisdom and vulnerability to know that you don't know everything, and the humility to ask for help from those around you. You want to be part of a wider team that celebrates success together.
