POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Junior Murex Reporting Developer with a strong foundation in Datamart development and experience in Murex or related platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SQL/PLSQL, Unix/Shell scripting, and a keen interest in the lifecycle of financial products, particularly Credit and Rates derivatives. This role offers the opportunity to build and test Datamart reports, debug and enhance existing systems, and gain exposure to global financial markets while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Datamart Development: Independently design, build, and test Datamart reports within the Murex platform.
• Debugging & Enhancement: Modify and enhance existing complex Datamart objects, using strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Unix/Shell Scripting: Develop and debug shell scripts, navigating through existing code and understanding dependencies independently.
• SQL/PLSQL Expertise: Utilize strong competence in SQL/PLSQL and RDBMS concepts to ensure effective data processing.
• Murex Setup & Configuration: Maintain a good understanding of Murex setup and configurations in Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Product Knowledge: Apply a solid understanding of both exchange-traded and OTC derivatives, with specific focus on Credit and Rates products, and their life cycles.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Datamart Developer on Murex or related platforms.
• Technical Skills:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Unix/Shell scripting.
  • High competence in SQL/PLSQL and RDBMS concepts.
  • Good understanding of Murex setup and configurations in Windows and Unix environments.
• Product Knowledge: Good understanding of exchange-traded and OTC derivatives, particularly Credit and Rates products.
• Core Murex & MXML: Knowledge of core Murex functionalities and MXML exchange is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients.
• Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities effectively.
• Global Exposure: Experience working with global clients and multi-cultural teams is an advantage.
