What role will you play?

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Compensation Specialist with a strong interest in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and Compensation country-specific to join our International Finance and HR team. This role provides a unique opportunity in a small team to gain hands-on experience in both Compensation and HR coordination, as well as core accounting, financial planning, and treasury operations.

This position is based in Porto area, Portugal

Global Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee the payroll operations across multiple operational countries, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Manage the monthly payroll variables and liaise with international payroll providers for accurate processing.

  • Provide responsive support to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.

  • Consolidate global compensation data and provide insights into the cost-effectiveness of various compensation structures and benefits packages

HR Coordination

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees and support the administration of the benefits programs, including health insurance, pension plans, and any other relevant benefits

  • Ensure the seamless flow of HR data by updating internal HRIS with accuracy and completeness.

  • Improve the HR Standard Operating Procedures and various employees' HR handbooks

Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in balance sheet management

  • Create sales orders, purchase orders, and calculate commissions for sales staff

  • Process accounts payable/receivable and manage invoice processing

  • Assist with cash management, including cash flow monitoring and forecasting

  • Support month-end/year-end close processes and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Manage banking relationships, daily account activities, and treasury reporting

  • Analyze financial statements, prepare budgets, and develop financial models

  • Prepare financial documentation for audits and assist with legal document review

  • Calculate and report KPIs for the Board and Investors, supporting strategic decision-making

Ad-Hoc Tasks and Projects

  • Lead diverse projects independently, including Employee relocations, International incorporations/registrations

  • Implementation of new finance tools.
