Member of Technical Staff - Performance Testing

We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff to join our AthenaPractice(aP) and AthenaFlow(aF) performance test engineering team within our Bangalore R&D division.

Your job will be to design and execute performance test scripts and establish performance characteristics for aP and aF application. Your efforts will enable us to deliver a performant product to customers and enable providers spend quality time to patients there by enhancing patient provider experience.

Our athenaPractice and athenaFlow performance test team is responsible towards identifying critical performance bottlenecks before releasing to customers by establishing application performance characteristics under defined user load condition. Team works with multiple stake holders to define workload model and performance test SLA which enables mimic customer like application performance.

We build quality practices which makes the interactions between these providers and the electronic health record as seamless as possible, and elevates what the doctor needs to see, when they need to see it. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute performance test scripts using tool such as JMeter.
• Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and reliability problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand performance requirements and translate them into effective performance test scenarios.
• Provide recommendations for performance improvements based on test results and analysis.
• Monitor system performance during load tests to identify performance degradation and potential optimizations.
• Create performance testing reports and documentation for stakeholders and management.
• Participate in architectural and design reviews to provide performance-related insights and recommendations.
• Stay updated with the latest performance testing tools, techniques, and best practices.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Typical Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Hands on experience with profiling tools like Datadog, JVisual VM, GC analysis, AWR report analysis, heap dump and thread dump analysis to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with SQL or Oracle queries
• Basic understanding of C#, Java or any programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
