Analyst/Consultant Climate Strategies and Sustainability Management

About the role

Sustainability Consulting is further strengthening its position in the European/global market. As such, we are looking for an Analyst or Consultant to join our Sustainability Consulting team in Berlin, to work globally in an international team and in the German market.

In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to make your contribution to the sustainability transformation within companies, and diving deep into topics that are changing the corporate sustainability landscape and business strategy. (e.g. sustainability strategy and reporting, Net Zero strategy and implementation, corporate biodiversity).

Your responsibilities

• Independent research and analytical work
• Preparation of client meetings
• Support in the development and implementation of decarbonization/net zero strategies in accordance with the requirements of SBTi, ISO14068 and other methodological approaches
• Emissions accounting based on GHG protocol, CCF/PCF taking into account Scope 1, 2 & 3 calculations
• Support with climate reporting according to CSRD, CDP and TCFD

Your profile

• Successfully completed Master’s degree with a focus on business, engineering, sustainability, environmental management or a comparable course of study
• Initial practical experience in the area of ​​sustainability or strategy consulting
• First experience in sustainability and decarbonization/net zero strategy development and implementation
• Ideally first exposure to CSRD/ESRS, GHG protocol, SBTi, ISO14064 as well as experience in CCF/PCF creation
• Analytical skills and an affinity for numbers to understand and communicate complex connections
• Business minded and analytical mindset combined with structured and pragmatic way of working
• Fully proficient written and verbal English communication skills
