Intermediate Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Toronto. This role will take on the responsibility to ensure all operating expenses are accurately recorded and work closely with various departments to ensure their open purchase orders are up to date and valid. This role will also assist with the month-end and year-end close by ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Reviews, analyzes and reconciles GL accounts, including prepaid, accrual and sales tax accounts
• Reviews, analyzes and identifies month end accruals and investigate variances
• Review and reconcile monthly Pcard receipts and invoices to the statements
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns and other related regulatory filings
• Work with internal business partners on a routine basis to provide support and to understand business transactions to ensure that they are being recorded correctly and accurately
• Perform regular reviews of all open purchase orders and work with internal business departments to ensure accuracy
