The Emerald Family Medicine clinic is now hiring for a motivated and adaptable part-time Medical Assistant**!**

Position Summary & Highlights

  • This position will work with other MAs and providers in a care team environment.
  • The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group on Emerald near Curtis Road provides family medicine, occupational medicine, and urgent care services just one block away from the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. From preventive screenings to chronic disease diagnosis and management, our providers are committed to keeping you and your family healthy.

What You Will Do:

  • In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
  • You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. โ€‹
  • An ideal candidate will enjoy โ€‹working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and dependable.
  • You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills.

Work Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week, most likely Thursdays and Fridays, 2 - 10 hour shifts, 8:00am - 8:00pm.

  • 6051 W. Emerald Street, Boise, ID 83704 (near the Boise Regional Medical Center - I-184 and Curtis Road)

Minimum Qualifications**:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • *MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
  • *Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
