Project Manager

  • Lead the Project/Program Management team on specific client commissions, making sure that the team delivers on all accountabilities..
  • Interface with the client, stakeholders, and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
  • Staff management – Input into the formal management of staff and recruitment interviews.
  • Undertake Staff Performance reviews.
  • Financial management – Utilize the tools provided keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission.
  • Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor, in the development of the cost estimates.
  • Reconcile changes that occur over the planning phase and assist the general contractor to ensure that their data is accurate.
  • Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.
  • Communicate or meet with general contractor and owner project manager to gather status information to prepare a project update.
  • Prepare written comments to the general contractor’s submissions, including the executive summary. Coordinate all sources of project information for cost discussions and suppliers direct from NPA, subs, quantities from A/Es,
  • Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost , schedule, and risk impact.
  • Provide budget planning to include producing and presenting the final budget plan.
  • Work proactively with minimal supervision to resolve scheduling issues
  • Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects. Complete timely, accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
  • Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs.
  • Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders
  • Understand cost (material prices, labor, productivities) as well as commit profiles, cashflow, LLE dates, and overall project cost.
  • Advise clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.

Consultant or any other job title performing the following job duties:

  • Developing project/design proposals/drawings for new projects or variations to existing projects and ensure key deliverables, permits, and approvals are secured, completed, and thoroughly quality controlled;
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project;
  • Ensuring project compliance with project document controls;
  • Reviewing detailed documents and specifications to ascertain an accurate perspective of the total project scope, level of design discipline, coordination, adequacy of details, project constructability and costs;
  • Facilitating project and consultant teams during land planning, design, and construction development phases;
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders, including executive management, project team members, designers, consultants, and vendors to aid in the coordination of all efforts required to ensure consensus on design/project and keep the project on track.
  • Developing detailed project plans, attending status meetings and following-up with team members on completion status and close-out of open items;
  • Reviewing Request for Information (RFIs) and processing proposals (logging, recording, and reporting) to support review and sign off by the Project Manager;
  • Analyzing changes to scopes of work to determine impacts;
  • Coordinating documents as they relate to estimates, procurement, vendors, materials, and equipment;
  • Processing, tracking, and reporting vendor and consultant invoices and payment application approvals;
  • Administering project closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation;
  • Contributing to monthly reporting on various aspects of the Client's program;
  • Preparing reports for multiple audiences, including formal project management reports, executive dashboards, and other reporting requirements;
  • Assisting with the procurement of suppliers / resources as required; and
  • Communicating critical information to other team members in a timely manner to facilitate decision making by superiors.

JOB TIME: Full Time

SALARY RANGE: $133,000 to $200,000/year

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 6 years of experience in job offered or 6 years of experience in Related Occupation
