We are seeking a Mid-Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in Kotlin to help develop scalable backend services on AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AWS services, with a focus on building and optimising APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy efficient backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot on AWS.
  • Develop and manage APIs, creating and optimising HTTP endpoints based on defined schemas.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend/mobile developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance application performance, quality, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold strong coding standards.
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on AWS services and Kotlin.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot for building APIs and microservices.
  • Proficiency in AWS services, API gateway, Lambda functions, and other core AWS technologies.
  • Strong skills in writing and maintaining APIs in Kotlin and Spring Boot.
  • Experience creating and optimising schema-based HTTP endpoints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
