Social Media Designer

We are looking for a social media designer to provide support to the digital creative teams working with our luxury beauty client in New York City. This role is operating in a hybrid model with some days per week spent onsite at our client in Hudson Yards and the rest of the time remote.

As the social media designer you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives
• Oversee the design of Social assets from agency, ensuring they follow brand guidelines for external partners and maintain/enhance quality then release to markets (including file management & quality check)
• Have experience video editing and after effect graphic motion and have produced social media assets

This role is freelance with the potential to become a permanent role

Requirements

• Deep understanding of social platforms and their creative formats.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in social design.
• Proven depth of experience in design, social, and digital, demonstrated through a portfolio of work.
• Strong command of graphics, typography, layout, form, and color.
• Experience in motion graphics and animation, specifically for social and/or digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or similar field required

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $95,000 - 110,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including experience, the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
