Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Intake to lead and manage the intake department of our home health agency. The Director of Intake will oversee the patient intake process, ensuring that all referrals are handled efficiently and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a deep understanding of home health care operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor the intake team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and professional development.

Intake Process Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the patient intake process.

Compliance: Ensure that all intake procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.

Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams, referral sources, and other departments to streamline processes and improve patient care.

Data Management: Maintain and analyze intake data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance patient satisfaction.

Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the intake process.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and referral sources, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on intake metrics, performance, and trends to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare intake or admissions role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in home health care is highly preferred.

Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of home health regulations, intake procedures, and healthcare compliance.

Technology: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare-related software.

Competitive starting salary based on experience: $125,000 annually.
