Senior Avionics Electrical Engineer

The Avionics team is seeking engineers to shape the future of commercial hypersonic flight. Our team is responsible for the design, testing, and integration of GNC systems, software, electrical hardware, high voltage systems and RF communications.

We need system-level architects who are also experts in their specialized areas. Our projects encompass the complete avionics suite for the aircraft, high voltage power, the flight simulator, control room, and ground support station. As a member of our team, you will ensure the seamless integration and compatibility of your designs.

As an avionics electrical engineer, you'll take charge of designing and testing custom electrical systems for both ground tests and aircraft applications.

Requirements

• BS Electrical Engineering
• Working knowledge of aerospace systems engineering practices (e.g. requirements development, verification and validation methodologies, diagramming and modelling techniques, risk management)
• 5+ years of experience in multiple of the following areas: controller design, DAQ systems, signal conditioning, processors, communication hubs/busses, bus converters, PCB layout, power electronics, data acquisition
• Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills

Desired Multipliers

• MS Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• Demonstrated project experience with sensor/actuator, device integration, V&V, environmental qualification and/or flight testing
• Experience with simulation and test tools (Fluke process meter, VNA, etc)
• Experience with avionics devices and protocols (radars, INS, GPS, CAN bus, RS-422, 38999 style connectors, etc.)
• Experience working with high voltage DC systems (Batteries, Motors, Generators, etc.)
