Lead Product Designer

We are looking for a Design Lead for our quickly growing Portland-based innovation lab. This lab is responsible for building a full suite of B2C e-commerce products for Lithia Motors. This role will have a strategic impact on the products, as well as help shape how Lithia approaches product design. We use Figma and usertesting.com.

The Design Lead reports to the Design Manager out of our Portland, Oregon office. (Working remote for the near future).

Position Overview

Area of Responsibility

• Drive design strategy on a product, or across a portfolio of products.
• Oversee design implementation and be hands-on with UX and UI execution alongside designers that are embedded on the product teams.
• Align design decisions within the product teams to the overall strategic direction of the business.
• Implement design processes when needed.
• Mentor other designers in growing their craft.
• Advocate and evangelize design decisions to leadership.
• Potential supervisory responsibilities, and assistance with hiring and building out our design team.
