Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Dublin office at least two times per week.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work in an agile environment on our Conversations product which offers a continuous performance development solution with a full spectrum of feedback, check-ins, priorities and reflections to develop the talent of any team.
You will be joining one of our two squads - Jellybeans. Jellybeans' mission is to drive engagement and foster a culture of feedback within organisations, ultimately contributing to improved business outcomes for our users and clients​

The skills you will bring

• You are curious, adaptable, inquisitive and strive for excellence in the work you do, always putting quality first.
• You develop in accordance with software engineering best practices, helping to define standards for the team.
• You have an agile mindset, valuing collaboration, continuous improvement, adaptability and flexibility.
• You are familiar with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CI/CD best practices.
• You have worked on complex issues which require an in depth evaluation of variable factors. You exercise largely independent judgment in selecting approach and obtaining results.
• You are a skilled communicator who can write and speak with clarity, tailoring your message to the audience, and incorporating active listening skills to understand others.
• You have good Database modelling experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• You are familiar with RESTful as an API design and have experience working with multiple services.

Achievements

• You have delivered high quality enterprise applications with Java and Spring
• You have built and deployed cloud-native applications, preferably in AWS.
• You have worked in an early-stage product development environment and are familiar with hypothesis testing
• You have demonstrated a growth mindset with a continuous focus on improving yourself and the way work gets done within your sphere of influence
• You have demonstrated ability to prioritise customer needs and advocate for the user experience throughout the software development lifecycle
• You have motivated your team to continuously improve, both individually and collectively.
