About the BDR role

We’re looking for amazing BDRs with an entrepreneurial spirit, an owner mindset and who are fired up to help build the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada!

As a BDR at Float:

  • You’ll be responsible for creating excitement about Float among Canadian companies.
  • You’ll get to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team.
  • You’ll learn, grow, and be celebrated for your hard work and great attitude.
  • You’ll jumpstart your career in an exciting field.

What your week-to-week looks like:

  • Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships.
  • Partner with Account Executives to set up successful discovery and demo calls with key contacts.
  • Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales team to drive campaigns and tactics that get results.
  • Work internally with other departments to share feedback and raise customer stories that we can learn from.

Requirements

You’ll be great in this role if:

  • You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone with 1+ years in a customer facing or a SaaS sales role, preferably in a fast growing startup. If you don’t have the experience but you have the drive, passion and work ethic, we’d like to hear from you.
  • You’re “all in”. You are glass-half-full, self motivated, results driven, passionate about your work and selling doesn’t feel like work.
  • You love learning and continuous improvement. You’re a quick study and can learn on the fly. You have a growth mindset and love taking the time to learn new things (especially when it is out of your comfort zone).
  • You’re focused, organized, efficient and can ruthlessly prioritize. You plan for the week ahead, maximize your days and go after it, and don’t let rejections slow you down.
  • You’re an extremely effective communicator. You love connecting with people verbally and in writing and you have a way of cutting through the noise and capturing people’s attention.
  • You are a team player. You have a 'win together' mentality - always looking to help the team and your colleagues.
