Purpose

Responsible for the data capture, analysis & reporting of data information to assist the Trinity Health leadership team achieve operational efficiency. Responsible for auditing department information, producing reports, & suggesting improvements to processes. Provides knowledge & expertise in the program, services & applications. Leads small project teams and serves as a mentor for SCM Analysts.

Process Focus: Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials. Incorporates basic knowledge of TH policies, practices & processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, & safety are prioritized. Demonstrates knowledge of departmental processes & procedures & ability to readily acquire new knowledge.

Data Management & Analysis: Research & compiles information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives. Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision making. Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects safe, honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in supply chain, business administration, informatics, or healthcare.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible data analytics & reporting experience.
  • Three (3) experience with at least one analytical tool such as ERP (Peoplesoft), DMS / WMS (Techsys), Access, Visio, OBI, Power BI, Tableu).
  • Advanced skills in Excel & other Microsoft Office programs
  • Equivalent combination of education & experience will be considered.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Data analytics & reporting experience in an area of supply chain such as inventory & distribution, sourcing, procurement informatics, value analysis, or other related field.
  • Proficient analytical skills

  • Rare clinical / patient facing work environment.
  • Includes continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.
  • Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer; Includes continuous sitting & may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.

  • Adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities & stressful situations; Attend to tasks until complete, understand & relate to complex ideas & concepts & be able to remember multiple tasks & regimens extending over long periods of time & work on concurrent tasks / projects.

Addendum: Functional Roles

Leads the development of analytics from a high-level concept design by creating analytics goals, methodologies, reports, and models.

Performs short-term consultation to improve an area of SCM Operations in strategic inventory management strategy and deployment.

Serves as a subject matter expert for operational owners within the team and external customers to understand and lead the change management activities based on the standard operating procedures.

Acts as the lead for developing new data and complex reports while providing expertise on technical issues where precedents may be unclear and where originality, ingenuity and application of extensive programming methods, practices and techniques are required.

Leads collaboration with SCM Operations to develop new reports and metrics to support tactical and strategic initiatives. Supports and executes strategies for improving the reporting and analytic capabilities of SCM through facilitating detailed requirements gathering, report/dashboard testing, training, and maintenance. Revises and approves system documentation, training ministry leadership; reviews system issues to consistently improve performance.

Trains senior ministry leadership on key performance indicators, writes and maintains any standard operating procedures, job guides and reference guides. Acts as the business operations advisor for any system requests for the ERP system, which include query and enhancements. Supports ministry training and troubleshooting.

Initiates and oversees new inventory management projects and is responsible for the auditing of compliance.

Leads all the user acceptance testing and initial development for any ERP operational query and enhancement requests. Acts as the subject matter expert for operational data integrity and accuracy.

Responsible for leading new initiatives and maintenance for customer facing reporting from internal systems and third-party tools. Leads technology purchasing process for the system including but not limited to writing and reviewing proposals, selecting vendors, and leading the integrations of the systems. Provides operational needs through maintenance, data integrity, system connectivity and training.

Coordinates and participates in joint ministry-System Office business reviews to review performance, host conversations, evaluate new ideas, and review data. Provides recommendations and improvement ideas from analytical consultation. May lead the ministry through the work to execution.

Supports sourcing with operational program management for the deployment and maintenance of any service-like contract to capture the savings goal and remove hurdles. Responsible for annual cost-saving initiatives. Participates as an operations expert for any contract renewals.
