Position Overview:

The Senior Manager - Strategy and Business Development oversees a team responsible for delivering best in class, differentiated marketing activities and Business Development strategies that support our ability to drive strong, mutually beneficial growth in lead generation, vacation package sales and revenues.

Collaboration with senior leadership is key to shaping marketing decisions and strategies, and you will work closely with internal stakeholders to support the enhancement of our competitive position, maximizing profitability. You will be required to optimize the overall program marketing planning across our markets and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Best / Next Practices:

  • Ensure marketing best practices are in place, and identify and champion next practices for ongoing performance and differentiation.
  • Leverage industry benchmarks, A/B testing and identify solutions for business growth.

Marketing Opportunities:

  • Identify and explore new marketing opportunities in existing markets by researching emerging trends, and present business or marketing opportunities to the Company's executive leadership, relevant stakeholders, and management.

Marketing Planning:

  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, provide expertise and oversee marketing planning (annual, seasonal, long range) in assigned regions, relevant to specific markets and channels, optimizing program performance.

Program Performance:

  • Partner with marketing alliance teams and cross functional teams to influence P&L performance, optimizing customer segmentation strategies and managing investment decisions of marketing capital.

Partnership Management:

  • Support partner satisfaction and relationships through participation in key meetings and ensure the team provides strong ongoing support of partner relationships.

Strategic Planning:

  • Chair the strategic planning process and oversee strategy formulation, development, and execution.
  • Research emerging trends and present business or marketing opportunities to the company's executive leadership, relevant stakeholders, and management.
  • Set appropriate sales and marketing strategies and tactics to promote company’s product and services.

Analytical Abilities:

  • Analyze daily trends in sales performance to identify opportunities and room for improvement.
  • Analyze and monitor daily sales performance of each preview site and give insights for improvements to the Company’s senior management.
  • Analyze in-depth sales developments and trends of specific Business Development campaigns to measure performance and provide analytic direction to senior management.
  • Ensure the implementation of prescribed performance management systems and processes.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Strategic Marketing and Partnership Management.
  • Minimum 8 years proven managerial experience, preferably in a multi-level organization.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience executing marketing roadmaps and strategies for hospitality, consumer Banking /Finance or other channels.
  • Competent at building connections internally and externally to support growth.
  • A deep understanding of financial concepts, credit card and loyalty/partnership programs, consumer behavior, and marketing analytics.

This executive must be a business leader who has executive presence, thought leadership, analytical strength and strong business sensibility. The leader will operate across a matrix business to achieve success. To be successful in this role, the executive should demonstrate extensive experience in business development strategies and marketing.
