Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials are essential. They value candidates who have excelled in their legal studies and demonstrated a commitment to excellence.
• Effective Communication Skills: As a key member of their legal team, you’ll need excellent communication skills. You’ll be drafting pleadings, participating in court appearances, and engaging with clients, so clear and concise communication is crucial.
• Experience in Products Liability Defense: We’re looking for candidates with a dedicated interest and experience in products liability defense work. Familiarity with medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients is a significant advantage.
• Complex Litigation Experience: Their cases often involve complex multi-district matters. Experience handling intricate legal issues is highly valued.
• Individual Cases: While they handle multi-district matters, they also appreciate attorneys who can excel in “one-off” individual cases. Versatility is key.
• Trial Clerkship Experience (a Plus): Former trial-level clerkships provide valuable insights into the legal process. If you’ve had this experience, we’d love to hear about it.
• Scientific Background (a Plus): A scientific background can enhance your ability to navigate technical aspects of products liability cases.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset (a Plus): They value candidates who approach legal challenges with creativity and an entrepreneurial orientation.
• Minimum 3 Years of Litigation Experience: Candidates must have at least three years of experience as practicing litigators. This includes drafting pleadings, handling discovery, conducting depositions, and participating in motion practice.
