Job Title: Facility and Maintenance Engineer (On-Site)

Location: Primarily on-site (Munich), with the option for 1 day per week remote work.

Duration: 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

Your Role and Team:

We are seeking an ambitious, reliable, and experienced Facility and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the service readiness of our production facilities and oversee maintenance activities for tools, machines, and infrastructure. You will play a key part in ensuring our facilities are prepared for current and future production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement infrastructure projects, including electrical systems, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration of specialized equipment into building systems to optimize functionality.
  • Coordinate and perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for test and production facilities.
  • Manage and contract external facility service providers.
  • Lead the development and integration of a maintenance framework, PPM schedule (TPM), and related processes for production equipment.
  • Oversee spare part and equipment storage, including regular inventory checks.
  • Supervise and coordinate work by external companies, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Identify and resolve facility-related issues, performing root cause analysis when needed.
  • Drive and support improvement projects in collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance operations and prevent incidents.

Your Profile:

  • Completed technical apprenticeship, Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Facilities Engineering role, including facility planning or a similar position (apprenticeship experience will be credited).
  • Strong knowledge of building systems such as electrical systems, HVAC, air supply, and fire protection.
  • Ability to evaluate technical work and ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Certified electrician and electrical work experience are advantageous.
  • Capable of following internal processes and adhering to safety and security regulations with precision.
  • Language skills: Minimum B2 level in both English and German.
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with a structured, autonomous work style.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a clear and structured approach.
