Our equal opportunity partner is seeking an Engagement Support Services Specialist to join our team in Southfield, MI.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks to support teams across multiple practices and industries within the firm. You will be part of a team with a strong service culture, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and quality-driven services to our audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management practice areas and their clients.

As an Engagement Support Services Specialist, you will:

  • Provide support to internal firm clients with a service-oriented mindset, maintaining accuracy and pride in your work.
  • Route and process client requests, review peer work, and oversee completion processes.
  • Interact with both in-office and remote staff, including domestic and international teams across various time zones.
  • Partner effectively with engagement teams to clarify inquiries, address needs, and set clear expectations related to task processing.
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers, and implementing solutions, while escalating unresolved or complex problems.
  • Assist the Operations Lead with specialized projects, including reporting and data research, deliverable formatting and editing, process design, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain an environment of continuous learning by completing all training related to client requests, supporting peers in their learning, and enhancing task training resources.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of customer service experience or equivalent coursework.
  • High school diploma required; higher education or college coursework preferred.
  • Ideal candidates are students or graduates in fields such as Accounting, Audit, Finance, Banking, Insurance, or related disciplines.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word is required; experience with Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of resources to learn new tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changes and challenges.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and within a team setting, assisting peers as needed.
  • Willingness to work some overtime and weekends.
