Sales & Logistics Data Analyst Intern

1. To perform Data Analysis and Reporting
a. Analyse and generate reports of Asia Pacific data on Customer Backlog (CBL)
b. Work with Sales Logistics Customer Interface Team to ensure data quality and track the progress of CBL.
c. Perform data validation, identify the root cause and resolves issues to improve the order fulfilment rate and overall impact on customer service level.
d. Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate data from large databases efficiently.
• Utilize Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to create temporary result sets and simplify query readability.
• Leverage Window functions to perform advanced analytical operations, such as ranking, partitioning, and aggregations, within SQL queries.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance by using appropriate indexing strategies and query execution plans.
• Employ various JOIN operations (INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, FULL OUTER JOIN) to merge data from multiple database tables efficiently.
• Create subqueries and correlated subqueries when necessary to retrieve specific subsets of data.
• Implement conditional logic and CASE statements within SQL queries to handle complex data transformations.

e. Continuously optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
f. Monitor and tune database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.

2. To build and enhance scripts / dashboards to support Process Automation
a. Build and enhance Power BI dashboards with existing databases (SQL database, etc.) on different Order To Cash (O2C) topics.
b. Maintain and improve current Power BI dashboards, including enhancing SQL scripts in databases and DAX measures in Power BI.
c. Provide technical support to resolve data-related issues and troubleshoot problems in dashboards, and reports.
d. Develop Python scripts to streamline and automate manual data transformation processes.
e. Identify repetitive data preparation tasks and create reusable Python scripts to perform data cleansing, formatting, and aggregation.
f. Continuously optimize and enhance Python scripts for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
a. Collaborate and align with central departments / stakeholders to support in achieving sales targets.
b. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of data analysis and reporting solutions.
c. Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Able to work full time for a period of 7 months (20.11.2024to 30.06.2025)
• Undergraduate studies in Computer Science / Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Supply Chain or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge on operations and self-driven.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous in task execution.
• Works well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Extensive knowledge on MS Excel, preferably with knowledge on Excel Macros.
• Experience on Power BI or other dashboarding tools / SQL / Python is a must.
