Your Job:

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of all marketing and communication strategies for the Brooks’ brand in France. The Marketing Manager will create and execute a marketing plan that will position Brooks as the leader in the performance running market in France. You will formulate how we deliver the key seasonal messages across retail, print, social media, events and digital platforms seamlessly. Within this ever evolving area, you will be looking at adopting new and innovative ideas to support our global/EMEA strategies. This role will work with the EMEA Sales and Marketing teams to optimize the regional execution of our marketing strategies.

The Marketing Manager will lead and effectively manage France Marketing teams to ensure a consistent message is delivered at all times. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will be a member of the French/South leadership team where you will be a major influencer/support mechanism to the wider France teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop the France marketing plan in line with the EMEA marketing strategy and the France business plans.

  • Contribute to the EMEA marketing strategy and tactics.

  • Lead the full execution of the marketing plan across retail, events, PR, sales promotions, social media and digital, influencers and other marketing touchpoints.

  • Lead and execute the EMEA strategic retail programs to support all channels of sales in France. This should include retail programs, promotions, POP, go-to market execution and key product launches.

  • Manage media relationships and activity to align with the marketing strategy and key messaging.

  • Manage and partner with our social media & PR agency to ensure alignment with Brand Execution Guide, campaign creative guides and our specific channel KPIs

  • Build Key Account marketing plans in line with the broader French marketing plan and in collaboration with the sales and tech rep teams.

  • Ensure the alignment and integration of key seasonal messaging across retail, media, digital and events.

  • Ensure brand communications are consistent with Brooks EMEA calendar and strategy.

  • Promote and ensure uniformity and consistency of brand presentation.

  • Manage (including goal setting, performance review, hiring decisions, team culture, etc.) and support the career development of direct reports to ensure job satisfaction, retention and to identify and develop bench strength.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our consumers and competitors to inform design and execution of marketing plans.

  • Manage the French marketing budget to ensure alignment with the Territory marketing plan

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or related field

  • French speaking – native, English speaking- fluent

  • 5+ years of marketing experience

  • 2+ years of experience managing marketing or sales teams

  • Strong leadership, organizational and motivational skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • General computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced skills in Office products — Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company and externally.

  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”

  • Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks’ community.

  • Ability to travel extensively
