Position: Dual Skilled Engineer

Type: Full-time, Night Shifts 10pm - 6am

Salary: Up to £57,000 per annum, DOE

The Role:

We’re on the hunt for a Dual Skilled Engineer who’s as versatile as a Swiss Army knife and as reliable as a honeybee. You’ll be our go-to person for both electrical and mechanical wizardry, ensuring our machinery hums along smoothly. If you’re a pro at fixing things and love the sweet smell of success, this job is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bee the Fixer: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on our buzzing machinery, keeping everything in tip-top shape.
  • Bee the Troubleshooter: Diagnose and squash mechanical and electrical issues faster than a bee can flap its wings.
  • Bee the Innovator: Assist in the installation of new machines and upgrades, bringing fresh ideas to our hive.
  • Bee Safe: Adhere to all health and safety regulations because happy bees are safe bees.
  • Bee a Team Player: Work collaboratively to find ways to make our production process as smooth as honey.

Responsibilities will include:

To work as part of the engineering team to provide effective and efficient mechanical and electrical support throughout the factory. Tasks will involve reactive support in the factory; continuous improvement projects planned though the maintenance system and planned maintenance tasks. The role will be working with a wide range of complex automated cooking processes and packaging equipment.

  • Provide a proactive response to maintenance, continuous improvement tasks and reactive breakdowns on site;
  • Accurate recording of all work activities;
  • Completion of RCAs as required;
  • Escalation of any further works required;
  • Identification of CI projects for repetitive problems.

Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
  • Experience of FMCG operations
  • PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
  • Flexibility
  • Health and Safety driven
  • Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments
