Junior/Middle Manual QA Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing Web and Mobile apps for an exciting project related to streaming services. Requirements:

• Troubleshooting instincts, fact-finding technical investigations, analytic skills, curiosity and willingness to learn;
• Knowledge and some experience with QA methodologies, techniques, SDLC, and QA role in it;
• Some understanding of Web technologies, such as HTML, Javascript, XML, JSON, and HTTP Protocol;
• Some experience with testing WEB applications;
• Knowledge and some experience with mobile platforms (iOS, Android), their specifics & delivery tools;
• Some experience with testing mobile applications (iOS, Android);
• Task management/bug tracking with Jira or similar tools;
• Product goals and customer orientation;
• Ability to work with mockups and schemes during early product/feature planning stages, understanding of UI/UX best practices;
• Good knowledge of English (fluent speaking and writing);

Will be a plus:

• Experience with interface testing and REST APIs;
• Ability to set up a proxy for a mobile device to read requests and responses (Charles; Postman, etc.);
• Experience with broadcast devices (Chromecast; AirPlay);
• Any knowledge or experience in Automation QA or willingness to get some.

Responsibilities:

• Work tightly with QA team lead & cross-functional team (PO, PM, designer, engineering team) to identify & formalise product requirements in order to deliver more value to business and users;
• Develop comprehensive test cases, suites, and other QA documentation and artifacts;
• Strategically plan and execute testing activities, including estimating the required effort and resources, scheduling testing phases, and continuously tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders.
• Continuously work to increase test coverage and efficiency by identifying gaps in existing test plans, optimizing testing processes, and implementing best practices.
