Job Title: In-house Litigation Lawyer

Job Brief

Urang manages over 400 Residential and Commercial blocks across London and continues to expand as a
result of recommendations from clients and lessees who are happy with the attention they receive from our
management team. Urang also offers a property management service for landlords who let their property.
Our unique combination of experience has allowed us to put in place quality control systems of the highest
standard. This makes us swift, flexible and responsive, allowing us to absorb new instructions of any size with
ease, so that our clients can be confident their buildings are managed with the utmost professionalism from
day one.

We are now looking to hire a Litigation Lawyer to work alongside our finance team based in London and our
external solicitors and counsel. You will be working will be reporting to the Business Accountant. The role will
focus on helping our business successfully resolve disputes that may arise with our clients, contractors or
suppliers.

To this end, the ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the property management industry and have
good knowledge of and experience in general commercial litigation in English courts.

Responsibilities
 Conduct debt recovery litigation including issuing court proceedings and undertaking the
enforcement of judgments
 Providing legal advice in relation to all aspects of commercial debt collection
 Investigating and responding to claims
 Liaising with internal business clients and external professionals, including external solicitors and
counsel
 Drafting legal documents
 Conducting case management/ preliminary hearings
 Such other duties and responsibilities of a similar grade and nature as may be required

Requirements
 English qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister) of at least [3] years post-qualification experience
 Good experience of general commercial litigation and property management
 Previous experience of working in-house is advisable but not necessary
 Keen attention to detail
 Ability to work on multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
 Proven ability to providing effective legal advice in complex cases
 Strong communication and technical skills
 Proven ability to implement and deliver complex and challenging solutions which are
consistent with existing, new or evolving policy/procedure

Working Hours 09:00 to 18:00 Monday – Friday
Salary range from R30,000 to R35,000 pm (Depending on experience)
Contract – Permanent
