Job Description:

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day production operations of our manufacturing units. This role involves coordinating and optimizing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products while maintaining a high level of quality standards. You are also required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders, to achieve production goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management: Provide leadership and supervision to production operations staff. Set performance goals, provide training and development opportunities, and conduct performance evaluations.

2. Resource Allocation: Manage and allocate production resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets. Monitor resource utilization and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction

3. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization. Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as necessary

4. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.

5. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare production reports and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management. Analyze data and provide insights to drive operational improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of proven work experience in sizable GMP production or manufacturing operations, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
