Certification Manager

At KIPP New Jersey we believe that kids deserve strong, passionate, certified teachers in every classroom. We want our teachers to be able to focus on building relationships with kids and families, and executing data-driven instruction. We know that the teacher certification process can feel overwhelming and be challenging to navigate. As an organization, we believe that it is our responsibility to help teachers navigate the certification process so that they can focus on what matters most - the kids in their classrooms. The certification manager will play a key role in supporting teachers in becoming certified by providing guidance, collecting and sharing data, and removing obstacles.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Individual Case Management (70%)

• Counsel teachers on certification pathways and next steps
• Develop certification plans for teachers
• Conduct a 1:1 certification kick off meeting with all new hires
• Conduct regular certification touchpoints with teachers and schools
  • Host weekly virtual office hours
  • Host in-person office hours at each of our 17 New Jersey schools twice per school year
