Job Roles

• Coaches and develops the skills and talents of the emergency registration staff. Manages the hiring, training, discharge of department staff, and that evaluations are done timely.
• Responsible for establishing a daily work schedule for all departments, ensuring adequate coverage at all time.
• Oversees daily operation of the HIM department.
• Helps Director prepare emergency registration reports and budgets. Monitors and addresses variances with the budget. Monitors productivity standards and performance.
• Ensures the development and implementation of appropriate systems to facilitate smooth operations of routine functions of patient registration.
• Monitors and implements changes to improve patient satisfaction for patient registration.
• Plans and organizes activities by developing and monitoring emergency registration goals, assuring their alignment with those of the organization, and ensuring their achievement.
• Serves as the liaison for patient registration to promote harmonious relationships with patients, administration, medical staff and other departments.
• Supervises the purchase/inventory of supplies. Performs any miscellaneous duty which aids in the normal department operations.
• Tracks insurance verification, up front collections and implements changes when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Maintains accountability for the financial operations of the Admitting Department to include registration of patient visits or admissions with accurate patient demographic information and upfront point of service collections. Maintains a master schedule for staffing, call schedule and peak plans.

Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more. The campus will also include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building.

The $237 million facility will be one of Celina’s largest employers in the fastest growing city in the country. We strive to have a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
