System Architect: Industrial Automation – Mechanical Design Expert

Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

The Precision Module and Equipment lab focuses on Precision Automation for state-of-the-art products in the field of telecommunication area. The lab aims at developing fundamental and core technologies needed for the automation of precision components for assembly, testing and measurement.

System Architect: Industrial Automation – M echanical Design Expert (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Focus on mechanical system design, make breakthroughs in key technical points, simulate and design the state of art architecture of the equipment.
• Investigate the automation equipment system in the industry. Identify the next-generation technologies in advance with high-speed, high-precision, miniaturized, and low-cost automation equipment.
• Cooperate with the team in HQ (China) and support them to realize the whole system.

Your areas of expertise

• Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical) or relevant discipline (e.g. Natural Sciences) with several years of industry experience.
• At least 8 years’ experience of design for ICT or consumer electronics devices for assembling or test, be able to design the whole device’s architecture with high-speed and high-precision (below 1 micrometer) and high stability.
• Have experience in modules design such as XYZ table or Hex pod or robot, vibration and noise suppression and isolation, and so on.
• Have experience in reducing equipment cost through smart design.
• Proficient in mechanical design software such as Solidworks or Pro/E, etc.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
