The successful candidate will provide support and contribute in surface water resource projects; storm water management, hydrology studies / modelling, river design and water intakes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop water and salt balances for mining and industrial clients.
- Give input on water components for EIA’s and mine waste management projects.
- Provide hydrological inputs for tailings dam break analysis studies.
- Develop high quality project and design technical reports for clients.
- Manage project budget, resources and timelines effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers with stormwater, hydrology and water and salt balance projects.
- Prepare Macros on Excel for data interpretation, reporting and management
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 3 - 5 plus years’ experience in the field of Environmental Engineering related to surface water will be advantageous.
- MS Word, MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Projects,
- Use of GoldSim, PCSWWM, XPSWWM, Civil 3D will be advantageous.
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated ability in water resources including hydrology, water balance, water supply feasibility and water reuse.
