Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluating performance results, and recommending significant changes for project growth and success.
• Function as a technical expert across the team, mentoring and leading others as necessary.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
• Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications.
• Work with source version control, build/release tools, and methodologies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large enterprises with numerous applications.
• Apply a strong 'security first' mindset to all processes.
• Utilize experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Develop software using languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring, JBoss, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Work with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP) and be familiar with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python).

Skill/Qualification

• Proven experience in providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.

• Strong background in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.

• Extensive knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience with the software build process.

• Capability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise.

• Strong 'security first' mindset.

• Proven experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).

• Development experience with Java, Spring, JBoss, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular.

• Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.

• Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proven experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

• Strong Bash and Python coding skills.

• Experience with Istio is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and gain expert-level understanding of the latest approaches (auto-scaled cloud-based systems, serverless architectures, cloud/on-premises hybrid solutions).
• Deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Ability to work on high-performing teams supporting multiple projects and personnel.
