Our Lonza site in Geleen, Netherlands, is seeking someone to support the implementation of the Global Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) software to a new business unit. The successful candidate will be a Data Scientist Manager/Scientific Data Scientist/ Biostatistician who is able to support the development teams performing data evaluation using the new software and DoE setup. An ideal candidate will have experience of data extraction and utilisation who can lead the design of the system that captures data at the bench. Key responsibilities:

Facility infrastructure

  • Responsible for utilities (plant steam, Production gasses, soft water, chilled water, PW, VHP, autoclaves, clean steam etc.).
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of HVAC and building-related installations like cold rooms which involve the Engineering and Qualification of GMP manufacturing sites. This includes the Building Monitoring System and Access Control systems in the facility.
  • Ensure that utilities and maintenance systems, execution and documentation are efficient and defendable during inspection. Ensures timely response to regulatory issues. Acts as support of contact (SME) to regulatory bodies on audits and regulatory matters pertaining to facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all procedures, policies and regulations regarding provided utilities and services.
  • Responsible for pest control

Office and support functions

  • Responsible for maintenance and housekeeping (non GMP) in the offices and support areas (warehouse, meeting rooms, break room).

External contacts

  • Contact person for external service providers performing facility or utility maintenance.
  • Coordinating building maintenance with the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Significant experience in working in a GMP environment in an Engineering role
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to document all work in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work interdepartmentally in an effective manner to carry out daily duties
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
