Introduction:

Saltmine is a B2B SaaS startup rebuilding the $300B workplace design industry from the ground up. We are combining modern technology with deep industry expertise to transform the process of workplace strategy to programming to design & costing.

Within the past year we’ve grown to 60 employees globally with offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Singapore, Budapest & Vietnam - with an incredibly talented group of employees from the likes of Google, Autodesk, JLL and Gensler. We are growing quickly and looking for talented professionals to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Design/Test Fitting service requests from demos and active clients, mainly Office/workplace interior design, including but not limited to:

    • Create layouts and Mood board based on client’s profile and guideline
    • Create Zoning for the floor plan based on customer’s working culture
    • Test-fit the floor plan on Saltmine platform
    • Ensure program requirements/ Space budget is met
    • Ensure all technical requirements are checked
    • Ensure timely delivery of the design file in Saltmine app as per committed timeline
  • Participate in clients’ meetings when needed, to receive direct feedback and discuss change requests

  • Act as project manager for customer-requested projects and coordinate any design changes among Team leads and designers

  • Quickly understand design requirements & guidelines of global organizations and translate them into actual working principles applied to their office spaces

  • Understand and can work with WPS/ Program Strategy for Testfitting purpose

  • Collaborate with Planning team in regards to Strategy changes and/or discrepancies

  • Establish and improve creative/design test fit workflow and standardize the process

  • Provide knowledge and foundation training to the team to bring up designers’ skills up to expectation

  • Maintain and improve team's performance and velocity for standard test fit requests

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally 4+ years of experience as a full-time interior designer focusing on Office/Workplace Design and experience across platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, 3DS Max and Sketchup

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programs

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications

  • Ability to manage interior design initiatives and provide critical feedback

  • Organized and able to track multiple work streams and prioritize tasks by urgency / impact

  • Eagerness to work within a collaborative team environment on a number of projects

  • Hard working and self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Work experience in commercial projects preferred

  • Knowledge of US Design trends and standards will be a bonus

  • Excellent written & spoken English skills is a plus
