Get to Know the Role

We are looking for accomplished and passionate Engineers to join our team. You will have opportunities to work on android driver apps that are used by millions of driver partners everyday. It is very important that our team members take the initiatives to identify problems and have the right mindset and skills to solve them.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop mobile components using Java, Kotlin, and Flutter to enhance Grab's Driver App services.
• Investigate and improve Driver app stability and application performance.
• Collaborate with the backend team to create modular, reusable components and scalable APIs.
• Partner with product and experience teams to finalise feature specifications and design experiments.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations to ensure high development standards and improve system stability.

Requirements

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 1 to 3 years of experience in mobile application development.
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
• Hands-on familiarity with maintaining large-scale mobile application; understanding of android systems internals and networking.
• Hands-on familiarity with Real-time communication between mobile apps and backend
• Experience with application performance and able to perform profiling to find any performance bottlenecks
• Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for system development and deployment.
