Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Product Manager to drive the development and execution of our ads and incentives product strategies. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our advertising solutions, optimizing item pricing and promotions, and improving cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the retail and eCommerce sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ads products, sampling, and incentives, combined with a strategic vision for building end-to-end products that address the needs of consumers and stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Development:

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for our ads and incentives products, including display ads, CPC, and basket incentives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ads and incentives products, from concept through launch and optimization.
  • Drive innovation in sampling strategies and item pricing promotions to enhance consumer engagement and sales performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead and collaborate with diverse teams across regions to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach other Product Managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with regional business leaders, category managers, and FMCG media teams to gather insights and align product strategies with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely and accurate updates on product performance and roadmap progress.

Business & Metrics Understanding:

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret business metrics and P&L, ensuring that product decisions are data-driven and aligned with overall business goals.
  • Make informed trade-offs and prioritization decisions to optimize the shopping experience and drive revenue growth.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience with ads products, including display ads, CPC, and incentive-based solutions.

  • Deep understanding of sampling, item pricing, promotions, fees, and basket incentives.

  • Proven track record in cross-sell and upsell strategies within the retail or eCommerce industries.

  • Familiarity with how physical products are bought and sold, including supply chain dynamics from suppliers to consumers.

  • Experience with managing products that interact with diverse regional and functional teams.

Skills:

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and articulate a clear strategic vision for end-to-end product development.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills, with experience leading teams across different regions.
  • Communication: Strong communicator capable of delivering timely and accurate updates to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Influence & Prioritization: Skilled in making trade-offs and prioritization decisions to enhance the shopping experience and achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong understanding of business metrics and P&L, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Consumers of non-food retail products.

Stakeholders:

  • Regional business leaders
  • Category managers
  • FMCG media teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in product management with a focus on ads, incentives, and retail/eCommerce.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring other PMs.
