Formulation Production Worker

Hours Monday - Friday
Starting Wage $17.00 an hour

Responsibilities include working in Raw/Formulation department trimming, injecting and tumbling raw meat in preparation for smoking.

• Follows daily production schedule and achieves specified goals.
• Adds ingredients to batch and verify against formulations in Blending system.
• Moves meat into machine(s) and/or combos and/or v-mags using appropriate tools and techniques
• Loads meat racks, push meat trucks from one area to another, visually monitoring meat for quality.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Washes and sanitizes carts, racks, and trucks.
• Prevents and minimizes rework and/or inedibles.
• Performs standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.
• Accurately completes all necessary paperwork.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Ensures products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
• Keeps record of products used to follow FIFO (first in, first out).

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shift
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50#.
• Must be able to work in refrigerated environment (38-42 degrees).
• Must be able to follow Company safety and GMP's.
• Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
